Hello Volunteers and Community Partners,
The Parkway Center has a lot of great ways to become civically engaged!
9/11 Event Donations & Volunteers:
The Parkway Center will be hosting our annual volunteer service project for the 9/11 Day of Service. This year is the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, therefore our goal is to collect 20,000 pounds of nonperisable food and personal care items in 20 days to help area veterans. Donations can be dropped off at both the Utica and Verona Beach locations until September 9th, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4pm. The volunteer service project will take place at the Parkway Center Utica location at 220 Memorial Parkway in Utica at 10am on September 10th. We are looking for volunteers to assist during the event with sorting, organizing, and moving donations. We will be providing lunch for all volunteers! To sign up to volunteer for this event please use the volunteer folder located in the Parkway Center Lobby or call Sarah at (315) 223-3973 ext. 122.
Boscov’s Friends Helping Friends:
Boscov’s will be holding their Friends Helping Friends event on October 20th, 2021 from 8am-11pm. You can get a shopping pass for a $5 donation at the Parkway Center Utica or Verona Beach locations. This shopping pass will give you 25% off of your purchase at Boscov’s.
Front Desk Volunteers Needed (Utica & Verona Beach):
Are you a friendly person who loves speaking with people and enjoys helping others? Then you may be a perfect Front Desk Volunteer! Volunteering at the front desk may include assisting individuals in becoming a member, answering the phone, greeting visitors, and answering some basic questions about the Center. There will be plenty of training provided!
If you have any questions about volunteer opportunities please call Sarah at (315) 223-3973 ext. 122.
