Fitness Programs

The Parkway Center is able to take some insurance programs for participation in our health & wellness classes, that may cover the entire cost of your class. These insurances include: Silver Sneakers Fitness, Silver & Fit Fitness, Optum, and Active & Fit Fitness. Please note that although we accept these programs, it is up to YOU to determine if your insurance company carries a particular program, and verify your coverage.

Monday

AEROBICS
Instructor: Roseanne Grasso

Description: this is a full body workout ( cardio, strength training, flexibility, and balance / coordination ) in an hour. The class consists of continually alternating episodes of aerobics with 2 minute segments of strength training. The last 15 minutes focus on stomach toning, flexibility, and balance / coordination. 

YOGA

Description: BOOM is a cardio based strength training conditioning class that provides a dynamic workout. Steps and exercises are presented in combinations, moving from the easiest to the most challenging. At any level this is a fun, and fitness improving workout.

Description: StayYoung StrongBones is a strength training and proper nutrition class for all ages. Strength training has been shown to reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic conditions such as: Arthritis, Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Heart Disease, Obesity, and Back Pain. You have a choice of chair exercises only, or staying for additional floor exercises on mats. All exercises use lightweights and slow, repetitive motions to build strength.

PICKLEBALL
Instructor: Pickleball is led by members

Description: Pickleball is a racket sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles to hit a ball, similar to a whiffle ball, over a net.
