Position: Mobility Manager

The Parkway Center is the sponsor agency for the Oneida County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Way2Go Herkimer and Oneida County and a partner in the Livable Communities Oneida County Initiative under the auspices of the Volunteer Department.

The Mobility Manager reports to the Director of Volunteer Services.

The Mobility Manager will be committed to achieving the following results:

  • Perform outreach to non-profits, businesses, community groups and other appropriate entities in the areas served.
  • Develop and direct the design, production and distribution of specific marketing, program and educational materials, including materials for web pages.
  • Research and advocate potential options for future expansion of transit options across the regional boundaries.
  • Perform strategic planning for the future of the Mobility Management Program.
  • Develops strategies for seeking other funding sources and to leverage existing funding.
  • Attend trainings and meetings as necessary to the Mobility Management Project.
  • Assist with coordination of volunteer transportation program.
  • Delegate tasks and work as team with transportation assigned staff.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree required
  • Knowledge of Transportation Programs or Systems/Planning Required
  • Excellent Computer and Technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License & own vehicle for travel
  • Ability to travel
  • Highly motivated
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Position: Community Educator For the Parkway Center

The Parkway Center is the sponsor agency for the Oneida County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Way 2 Go Herkimer and Oneida County and a partner in the Livable Communities Oneida County initiative, under the auspices of the Volunteer Department.

The Community Educator reports to the Director of Volunteer Services.

The Community Educator will be committed to achieving the following results:

  • Perform outreach to non-profits, businesses, community groups and other appropriate entities in the areas served.
  • Provide developed curriculum and programs throughout the region.
  • Assist with program and material development.
  • Assist with maintaining current transportation options.
  • Assist with data collection and database management.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment.
  • Assist with CarFit, Bike Club and other Way2Go programs and projects.
  • Attend trainings and meetings as necessary to the Mobility Management Project.
  • Assist with coordination of volunteer transportation program.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Knowledge of Transportation Programs or Systems/Planning
  • Computer and Technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License & own vehicle for travel
  • Ability to travel
  • Highly motivated
